Erik ten Hag has insisted that Manchester United are a "long way away" from being ready to win the Premier League, echoing Ralf Rangnick's assessment that the club needs "open-heart surgery." Rangnick, who was critical of United during his interim spell in charge in the 2021-22 season, stated more than two years ago that the "attitude and energy" at Old Trafford had to change.
